We are the people whom Allah honoured through Islam, so whenever we seek honour other than it, Allah will disgrace us.

Bila Siti Kahwin

59:7 What Allah has bestowed on His Messenger (and taken away) from the people of the townships,- belongs to Allah,- to His Messenger and to kindred and orphans, the needy and the wayfarer; In order that it may not (merely) make a circuit between the wealthy among you. So take what the Messenger assigns to you, and deny yourselves that which he withholds from you. And fear Allah. for Allah is strict in Punishment.

Bila Siti dan Datuk K yg kaya raya kahwin, hampir semua benda orang sponsor. Dahla duit derang melebih-lebih, kahwin pun orang lain tanggung. Dahlah kaya, tido berbumbung, makan tanggung, berak cangkung.. apa lagi mau?

Bila banyak gejala sosial, semua salahkan orang lain.

Hai, nak buat camner..

Macam mana nak break the cycle? I have no idea at all.

1) jadi artis tru AF etc
2) masuk UMNO, dan join kelab yang betul (at the moment, team khairy)
4) cara2 lain...

hasilnya:
1) artis yang glamer seasonal, jadi histeria satu negara. orang spend berjuta ringgit sms. seronok la tengok anak bangsa sendiri spend duit bodoh2. yang kaya AK.
2) golongan yang kaya sebab dapat kontrak. nanti orang lain naik, dia pun hilang kontrak. benkrap etc. ataupun, first round jadi kaya, pastu tak reti nak manage kekayaan. maka jatuh tersungkur balik. tgk aje amin shah, halim saad etc.
3) dapat datuk, glamer kejap. kalau kawin dgn artis, selalu kejap je cerai. kalau tahan lama, alhamdulillah..
4) golongan2 lain..

4 days left

Today, I simply did not do much. Initial plan to go to Rathlin was catastrophically postponed. Well, we woke up quite on-time, walked to the train station, and managed to get there on-time. God knows why, we took our time too much, and simply saw the train left without us. Haha.. I guess our brains were not functioning to their best...

Later I decided to go to the city hall to see the centenary exhibition. Well, missed the tour group too. Hopefully, I can make it on Saturday...

Received an email from a certain Boss of a firm, regarding a job vacancy. It sounds really interesting. I am thinking about it. I just realised, I love research positions.

Well, that's it for now. Looking forward to seeing the sun shining tomorrow.

6... 5... and it continues tomorrow

I have 5 days left before my UK Student Visa expires.

At the moment, I am trying to relax and enjoy my time in Belfast.

Went to Portstewart to see a friend, whom the last time I saw was in 2003.

Walked along the beach, and later returned to Belfast.

Owh, got an email from a company in Malaysia. Thought I was in malaysia already that they wanted to arrange for an interview. Kindly replied to them, stating that I am flying home on the 31st. And hopefully the interview will follow soon.

Reading a book by Patricia Cornwell.. erk.. no comment.

Plan to go to Rathlin Island tomorrow.

7 Days to go...

Flight home has been confirmed: 31st July 2006.

Money-related problem has been sorted out.

Tickets to/from Belfast have been booked.

Boxes have been nicely packed.

Laundry has been taken care of (unfortunately, with 3 oyster cards, and a £10-note inside the pockets).

Souvenir has been sent to its desired receiver.

.. Just one thing left... (as far as I remember)..

p/s:

Newcastle bought Duff for £5m, £5m short of what people expected the transfer fee would be. Well, I perfectly understand the logic. Spurs is a title challenger, while newcastle is not. It is safer for chelsea to offload Duff to newcastle, than to Spurs..

8 days left

With 8 days left of my vacation, I am trying to make every single day a memorable one.

Family:
My parents went home today on flight MH007, heading towards Kuala Lumpur, with connecting flight to Johor Bahru.

Travel:
I have no energy left to travel this part of the world at the moment. My original plan of visiting Syria has been put to a halt, due to recent conflict in Lebanon. My dad strongly advised me not to go to Syria, which is more like a directive than a suggestion.

May go to northern ireland next week, to visit some friends, and see the seabirds.

Future Plan:
Going home and finding a job will be on top of the list. I don't like doing nothing. But worse is my dad's passion in the youth being dynamic and active. I don't think I can last a week listening to all his series of lectures.

I would like to travel further, but maybe if i decide to continue on my higher education. PhD or something like that.

Marriage:
Not in the next a year and a half or so.. The subject is taboo until I find at least a decent job (says mum). I don't have anyone particular in mind, either.

Others:
Nothing at the moment

Serabut

Penat dan serabut.. penat kerana penat berjalan, serabut kerana banyak berfikir. Entahlah, people come and people go. But sometimes, the effect is unpredictably more than what we expect, and that somehow contributes to the keserabutan inside my head at the moment..

cat cross the road --> sometimes, cat stevens cross the road also

And Baghdatis is out...

Yesterday, Baghdatis lost to Nadal. Well, credit has to be given to Baghdatis. Such an entertaining player. With the smile on his face, and the way he celebrated his points, i think he has become the most entertaining male tennis player. And better, he has about 10 years ahead of him.

I think, he's like Ronaldinho. Play without stress, and always try to keep smiling at the audience, regardless of the situation they are in.

I like Safin too. He's good and has this bad-boy image because he loses his temper easily. Well, because of this, he lost to Gonzalez too after leading 2-0.

Live stress-free

and more interesting stories..

With few days left of my time in the UK, I am trying to make everyday full of good memories.

Well, It sounds as if i am going to die really soon.. but to be fair, we hardly appreciate things that we have, until we lose them. I watched 1 litre today, and realised how we rarely appreciate our health that has been freely granted to us.

Similarly, as time is running out, I am trying to make my stay in bristol more memorable. Recently, I started going around with a digital camera again, a habit that I stopped practicing in my second year.

Being all excited, I will just walk around the city of Bristol and its surrounding areas. To inhale the air that i may never feel again, to look at the far horizon, which i may not see again. To walk on paths and streets where i may never walk on again.

Today, i went to broadmead. Have nothing much on my mind, but to accompany my friend and help him finding suitable travel books. We ended up going to Smith's, where it was advertised that Katie Price would be launching her first novel.

Katie Price a.k.a Jordan is.. well.. err.. someone that does something glamorous for a living. Well, basically she's a 'celebrity' and is quite famous in Britain.

So, she came around, and there was a huge crowd of people inside the store. There were people lining up to have her signature on their books. I just went in, took few pictures, and left. I am not a fan of her or anything like that.

Enjoy the pics..

Posing with the Book

Signing Few Copies of 'Angel'

Entertaining a Disabled Kid

For some people, the highlight was of course her.. well.. something. I don't know what is in it for her, but looking at it from a more positive side, even a person of her character still has some goodness left in her heart. I think she understands people with disabilities more than we do, since she has a disabled child herself...

A Tribute to a player who bowed out of the Championships yesterday

At last, Daniela Hantuchova bowed out of the championships yesterday. Against the in form Justin Henin-Hardenne, she simply could not do much. Although previous statistics showed that they had had equal share in the previous 4 meetings, this time, Justin won the match in straight sets.

Well, there's always tomorrow..

A DAY OUT IN WIMBLEDON (II)

We woke up the next morning quite late. Shahbaz prepared the english breakfast while we took shower and prepared ourselves. Al spent some precious energy from his dying camera on Shahbaz's cat. We enjoyed our meal, which was very important, since food inside the championship ground must be ridiculously expensive. Having a heavy breakfast means that we did not need to take any lunch while being there.

Nunu the cat

We left the house at 10.15, and caught the next bus towards wimbledon station. It did not take us very long to get there, roughly 25 minutes. Initially, we were thinking of riding the shuttle bus to the championship. Upon looking at the crowd in wimbledon town, we decided that it would be much quicker if we walk. The place was simply packed with people of all kinds, and even queueing for the bus would take more than 30 minutes.

Federer or no Federer?

We walked as quickly as we could towards the championship groud, which lays about 2 miles from wimbledon town centre. It was a journey uphill, and was supposed to be rather exhausting. However, we were simply too excited to be bothered with the consequent fatigue.

20 minutes later, we arrived at the ground and were directed to gate 3: for non-ticket holders. We were so excited upon getting there, only to be told to walk towards southfields, and join the back of the queue. The line was really long that stretched almost one mile away from the gate.

Line as far as eyes could see

A stewardess informed us that at the rate we were going, we would only enter the ground after 5pm. This piece of information really disheartened me. Feeling dissappointed, I told Al that I was thinking of leaving the place. There's no point queuing for 5 hours, since there's so much more can be done over 5 hours. Thanks to Al who's always cool, he insisted on staying, and so we stayed.

I went to the toilet, and when I got back, I simply could not find Al. Apparently, the line has progressed very quickly beyond our expectation. Within 30 minutes, we were already beyond the luggage x-ray point, and few minutes later, we were already queuing at turnstile no.2, paying for the ticket. Few seconds later, we were already inside the ground. Yay, we made it. WE'VE MADE IT INTO THE CHAMPIONSHIP GROUND

Past the turnstiles

to be continued...
