Revolution?
Recently, I wrote something about how malay people behave when they go to the toilet. Surprisingly, Najib thought of the same thing, and later annouced the beginning of the 'revolusi tandas'. I can hardly believe my ears. Feel like someone is making fun of the malaysians, as if we are too stupid to think for ourselves.. well, maybe most of us are.
Anyway, now you can listen to this toilet revolution song being aired now and then. 'Oh tandas, berkualiti, oh hidup berkualiti'. I made up my own lyrics. 'Oh tandas, berkualiti, oh berak, senang hati'.
I also happened to watch many good quality programmes in malaysian tv.
1) Ilmuwan islam.
this is a supercool programme. u know what tv3 did? they sent people to places like egypt, morocco, africa, europe, china, everywhere to find the remnants of the islamic empire. I was so impressed by the programme that.. well, see it yourself.
2) Herbal secret
Another good quality programme by tv3. It tells the audience so much about the herbs and tradition medication. The downside of it is that the commentator/host is a bit dodgy. She does not speak well. A bit messed up between formal malay (baku) and informal one. She could not even comment on the dishes well. Please improve cik miera.
The problem with both programmes is the timing. 730pm.

laa kul 7.30 ker. patut tak pernah tengok. hehe

revolusi tandas...bina jamban elektronik.....
pada aku, this is just another quick-fix, temporary solution by short-sighted leaders. kalo jamban canggih, org berak besepah, pam tanak, buang puntung rokok n kotak rokok kat jamban tu, cebok pon besepah... jamban RM1k stiap satu pon senang2 je bley jadi besi buruk within setahun...
Best solution: Education
Means: education institution, media, health-related seminars etc
Result: might not be seen immediately, tapi if belief-system orang dah berubah, inshaAllah outwardly people boleh behave properly. jamban kampung pon bley jadi cantik n terjage.
ni pandangan aku je, bley jadik btol, bley jadik salah. terpulang utk korg decide.

world is like jamban, we need it, but we don't want to live in it.
aku gi bosnia, tandas cam tandas kampung kat mesia je, kat madrasah tu. tapi bersih aje. takde hal.
in the end, i would say, memang orang melayu ni in general kurang appreciate tandas. lagi-lagi bila dimomokkan, tandas ni tempat syaitan etc, kalau boleh, berak nak keluar terus. takde fikir pun pasal kebersihan tandas.
tandas duduk pun, kencing berdiri taknak angkat seat. cam takleh fikir ke, benda tu kotor. nak kencing diri tu satu hal, yg malas angkat tu satu hal, omputih pun kencing diri, tapi jaga gak kebersihan tandas.
ntahla, dah malas sembang pasal tandas ni sebenarnya. marilah kita sama2 ubah diri kita, keluarga. lepas tu baru pikir pasal masyarakat.
